Hey guys, in this post, I’ll compare 5 great photo editing apps and choose the absolute best Instagram photo editor app. I’m sure you’re well aware of Instagram, there’s no need to explain all the benefits of it. And you probably have seen very popular accounts with over 10000 followers and amazing photos. Well, I’ll tell you how to make your photos look as amazing (or even more amazing) with the help of these Instagram photo editing apps.
5 great photo editing apps and the best Instagram photo editor app
– Camera +
Even though this app makes your photos look a bit unnatural, it’s good for images taken on a smartphone. There’re plenty of filters, scenes, adjustments and it’s pretty easy to use.
+ Great for HDR and saturation.
– You have to pay for the app. And for some filters too.
This Instagram photo editing app has plenty of amazing soft filters & overlays. The main point is «Soft». In case, you’re into fashion blogging, it would be a perfect app for you. Or if you like pastel colors.
+Many pastel filters
-Nothing radical: if your photo needs proper adjustments, better use Snapseed or Camera+
Example of photo edited with Afterlight:
This one is probably my favourite Instagram photo editor app (for editing photos taken with a DSLR-camera). There’re tons of different adjustments and it’s very easy to use (one you figure it out for the first time). Instagram photo editing tips: I always use it to increase the ambience & saturation of the photos and create the proper HDR. It’s especially great for editing the photos of landscapes.
+ many different settings
– not many filters
– the first use will probably take a lot of time (you need to get used to it)
Photo edited with Snapseed:
Lightroom is my absolute favourite Instagram photo editor app. Why? Because what you can do with the photo is pretty much only limited by your imagination. I use both Lightroom on mobile and Lightroom on the desktop and I have never been happier with my photos!
It’s the best app for adding text on your photos (Instagram text overlay). Some filters included as a bonus (don’t rely on the filters too much, but nonetheless you mind find some of them very useful). It’s also useful for creating Pinterest images
+ easy to use
+ you can use some ready quotes
+ many styles
– You need to pay for this app (not much, but if you aren’t 100% sure that you need it, it’s better not to buy).
– You cannot really change much once you choose the style
One of the most popular photo editors & photo communities in the world.
+ huge community
+interesting selection of filters
– you need to buy the filters
You could also try:
– Photo Editor by Aviary
Both of the apps have a wide selection of filters but also have their downsides.
